Harold is now 11—entering his final two years of primary school. The challenges are bigger, the stakes are higher, and the social dynamics are more complex. He must demonstrate leadership, courage, and resilience.

Story Concept:

He makes decisions without consulting his classmates, dismisses others' ideas ("my way is better"), takes credit for suggestions that weren't his, and gets frustrated when people don't immediately follow his plans. He's so focused on his grand vision that he ignores what his classmates actually want or need.

Murphy tries to tell him he's not listening. Mia gently suggests he should ask for input. But Harold is convinced he knows best—after all, he was elected leader!

The Crisis:

Story Concept:

Tyler doesn't bully Jin overtly—he makes "jokes" about Jin's drawings being "babyish," excludes him from games, and mimics his soft-spoken voice. Other kids laugh uncomfortably. Nobody stops it.

Harold notices. It bothers him. Jin reminds Harold of himself in earlier books—awkward, trying to fit in, making mistakes. But Harold is now more established, has good friends, and doesn't want to rock the boat. He tells himself: "It's not that bad. Jin seems okay. Tyler's just joking. Someone else will handle it."

But it escalates. Jin stops bringing his drawings to school. He eats lunch alone. He looks sad.

The Crisis:

He glances up—and sees something that changes everything. Tyler, sitting two desks ahead, has his answer sheet positioned perfectly for Harold to see. Not intentionally—Tyler's just working. But from Harold's angle, he can clearly see Tyler's answers. Tyler is great at maths.

Harold looks away. This is cheating. He knows that. But... no one would know. The teacher isn't looking. Tyler doesn't know Harold can see. It's just one section. Harold worked hard on everything else—would it really be so bad?

The Internal Struggle:
The rest of the test becomes Harold's internal battle:

The breaking point comes when Harold auditions for the school talent show. He's been practicing a comedy routine (physical comedy, self-deprecating humor about his "hazardous" adventures—growth through embracing his story). He's worked hard, rehearsed, and he's genuinely funny.

But at the audition, Harold's nervous energy makes him rush. He trips during his opening (ironic, yes), forgets his lines, and freezes. The routine falls apart. He doesn't make the cut. Harold is devastated.

The Low Point:
Harold spirals into self-doubt: "Why do I keep trying? I'm still Hazardous Harold. Nothing's changed. I work hard and still fail. Maybe I should just stop trying to be different."

He becomes withdrawn. He stops volunteering in class. He doesn't raise his hand. He avoids challenges. Murphy and Mia are worried—this isn't like the Harold they know anymore.
